April paints portraits and other subjects (e.g., your treasured boat, a favorite vacation spot) upon request. April's portraits capture the interests of the subjects by capturing them doing something they love to do. This is consistent with her other "moment-in-time" work. April does not create traditional portraits, but uses color schemes to set a mood. By working with you we can agree on an approach that meets your needs. You will approve a preliminary sketch at the time of contract signing.
Prices vary based on the complexity and size of the piece. Prices for a single subject are as follows. Price is based on the target frame size. April can provide either a watercolor or fluid acrylic to be framed with a mat and glass or Plexiglas or a painting on gallery wrapped paper that has been varnished. Framing is not required for a gallery wrapped painting.
15" X 22" - $900 (if matted and framed under glass the frame size will be about 22" X 28" )
20" X 30" - $1650 (if matted and framed under glass the frame size will be about 26" X 36")
These prices do not include the cost of the frame.
Archival prints of the painting to share with family members can also be purchased.
