Antiguan Drummer by April M Rimpo |
Antiguan Drummer
Fluid Acrylic
My goal in my art is to
show everyday
activities - a way of life - with subjects around the world. In each case something grabs my attention and
makes me feel I must tell the story. Storytelling, and preserving a moment in
time, is important in my work. My love of learning about people from cultures around
the world, present and past, has been with me since my teens. When I first
started college, my major was anthropology, which includes not only the study
of current cultures but also the ancient history of man. I have never lost that
love of learning about how people live, and cherish my ability to portray their
story in my art.
