Intertwined by April M Rimpo - SOLD |
I don't know if humans have some reason that causes them to look for the familiar? I find it fascinating how when shown random objects we seem to want to make some kind of order to them. Even the Rorschach psychological test created by Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach used ink blots to try to evaluate people's thinking processes.
I won't share what I see in my own painting so as not to bias your experience, but it would be interesting to me to hear what if anything you see in Intertwined. Enjoy! I hope this painting brings you as much joy as I had creating it.
I really like this piece! I'm fascinated too, by how we each 'see' things... I think that our sense of aesthetics is very much associated with those things that are most like ourselves. We look for those same patterns and proportions that much of nature is composed of. I see it in your painting too!
ReplyDeleteFunny, sometimes I do not like what I see in such abstracts. Took a class once...did some watercolor abstracts...end up seeing the strangest things in the results!
ReplyDeleteI'm finding it intriguing that neither of you told me what you saw. Maybe that is best so none of us with influence what others see. I agree with you,, Katherine, about patterns of proportions of nature. That is right along the lines of what I am seeing.
